NEWQUAY

Seven Beaches in One

There is an infinitely long list of reasons as to why Newquay has been Cornwall’s most popular lifestyle destination for so long.

We have picked out seven from that list, however: Fistral, Little Fistral, Towan, Great Western, Tolcarne, Lusty Glaze, and Porth. All are individual soft sandy beaches when the tide is in, with almost all linked together when the tide is out.  Wherever you are in the town, you’re hardly ever more than a short ‘hop’ to any one of these spots.

At our very own Cliff Edge, one of our many stunning properties with a sea view, you are located right atop Tolcarne Beach with Great Western and Lusty Glaze both mere minutes stroll away.

Another of our developments, Breakwater, is situated on Pentire Headland and takes in views of the famous Fistral Beach, as well as only being a short walk away from wild green grasses overlooking Crantock Beach to the west.

With so many natural advantages, it’s no wonder that in the past it seemed hard for Newquay to keep up and meet all the constant demand. It’s most certainly catching right up now, however, with the town constantly on ‘hot lists’ and topping favourite beaches and destination polls all over the place.

And if the romance of the Great Western train line is more your thing, the main Paddington to Penzance train line connects to Newquay via one change.

WHat About Porth?

Newquay’s home to eight fabulous beaches, it’s true, but arguably the best one is under a mile and half away, in Porth. Stephens and Stephens also have a stunning development in Porth, and we’re really rather found of it. Another Cornish property of ours that boasts a remarkable sea view, it adds to our impressive portfolio.

Before the easterly coast road rises steeply there’s a sheltered, low-lying cove with vast expanse of sand between the road and the sea. With safe bathing, rock pools, beach boutique and coffee shop, kiosk, pub and parking, Porth’s a minor Cornish miracle: beautiful and well served, but big enough for you to always find your own space.

It’s never been easier to feel in amongst it and away from it all at same time, and it’s never been easier to get here.

Newquay Airport has regular flights to and from various well-connected cities in the UK and Ireland, including Heathrow, Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, and Edinburgh. The main Paddington to Penzance train line connects to Newquay via one change, and the all-dual-carriageway A30 takes you from the Newquay turn-off a few miles away straight to the foot of the M5 at Exeter.

While Newquay itself has a great deal to offer, it’s well positioned on the North Coast to allow easy access to Padstow, to the east, and St Ives if you head west. The country is so narrow by the time you hit the Cornish peninsula that the north and south coasts are very close; Falmouth is less than 25 miles away, Fowey less than 30, and you’re even closer to the wild beauty of Bodmin Moor.
